Solving Video Playback Problems

The training course videos have been optimized so that the content is of top quality with the lowest possible file size.

Despite this, if you are having trouble viewing the course content due to video streaming issues, including situations where the video content playback stops occasionally, then please read through the checks listed below to see if any resolve the problem for you.

 CHECK 1

When first opening a video, press pause (on the playback controls) and leave the video for around one minute. This will allow your browser to download enough of the video to stream smoothly.

Depending on your connection speed, you may need to leave the video paused for longer than one minute.

 CHECK 2  

Check to see that no other files downloading while you are viewing the course.

 CHECK 3    

Check to see that no other PCs that are connected to your network are downloading files.

 CHECK 4  

We have found that the course runs best in Mozilla Firefox.

Increasing the size of the cache in Firefox can improve the viewing experience.
